Anthony Rowlands

Anthony Rowlands has been Chair of FOBISIA since April 2019 and is currently Principal of  the British International School  Ho Chi Minh City which is a long established FOBISIA school. He was born and educated in the UK and  graduated from the University of Wales with both a Certificate and Diploma in Primary Education. He was later awarded a Master’s Degree in School Leadership from The Queensland University of Technology, Australia. 

Anthony started his teaching career in the UK in 1979 and taught there for 13 years including six years as a Head Teacher before moving to international education in 1992. He then held senior leadership positions in three FOBISIA schools:  firstly at St. Christopher’s International School in Penang, then at the British International School, Jakarta and Harrow International School in Bangkok. In April 2012 Anthony became Founding Principal of the British International School  Hanoi  guiding it to become a FOBISIA member in 2015. He then moved  to become Principal of BIS HCMC in August 2017.

 In his spare time Anthony enjoys watching rugby, playing golf, swimming and going to the gym.
